Rain Stopped Play

Well Thursday AWAY DAY  arrived and reports came from Bangkok- The place was sinking and the floods had reached the airport. It was then that I realised the importance of packing your own things. School boy error!!! - Maria had forgotten to pack my wellies. We decided we would not be overwhelmed with disappointment so early on in our adventure..  So we got a Thai take away in Milton Keynes and pretended that we were in Thailand. Plans now have changed and we will be starting our travels in Hong Kong leaving Heathrow on Sunday evening. This is my first entry  on our blog and I hope that we will be getting some good advise and suggestions from followers on our travels. Unity Island hugs all round  David and Maria xx

  1. Great news! Good opportunity to really get inside Milton Keynes with the few extra days you have on hand. Could also dig the garden and clean the windows.
Looking forward to the next message.

  2. that's because you put your wellies on the bargain basement, I saw them there!! Anyway, Milton Keynes and Thailand are fairly similar in the grand scheme of things. Let's skype you in to next book club Maria, personally I wasn't too struck on the book! Looking forward to following your exploits!

Trying to keep our spirits up.
We are now travelling this Thursday. to Hong Kong where we will be spending only 3 days before flying to New Zealand. I hope they will still be on a high following there win at the world rugby cup.

  6. Okay. I had a GREAT DEAL of trouble trying to get a comment posted to this blog, but finally beat the problem to death with the help of an ubernerd friend who lives in Ottawa. For anyone out there having similar difficulty, here is what I suggest. The problem is, this website REQUIRES that you allow "third-party cookies". To do this, if you are using Internet Explorer, click on Tools (the wheel in the upper RH corner), then on the Privacy tab.Under Settings, move the slide all the way down. Click Apply; click OK. Third-party cookies are now allowed, and your problem should be solved.

Meanwhile, David and Maria, where are you, and what's going on?
